Luncheon

We host an Annual "Giving Thanks" Luncheon for Seniors in Richton Park in the fall. All seniors living in Richton Park and those living in Lawrence Manor in Matteson are welcome to attend. The dinner is free. Free transportation is also available through Rich Township.

Spring Ham Dinner

Our annual Ham Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 3-7 PM. This year we have formed a coalition with interested parties in the community to "Fill the Bus for Haiti". The coalition has purchased a school bus which will be filled with appropriate items for delivery to an orphanage in Jeremie, Haiti. Funds from the Ham Dinner will be used towards shipping of the bus to Haiti.

Our ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Menu includes: a Salad Bar, Traditional Baked Ham, Baked Beans, American & German Potato Salads,Bread, a few surprises, Dessert and Beverages. The Dinner is being prepared by Chef Eli Bingham, Assistant Manger at McDonald's in Richton Park, and the Salad Bar is being prepared by Betsy Williams, Food Service Manger at Rich South High School. Ticket Donations are: Adults - $10 ($12 at the door); Children ages 5-10 - $5; children 4 & under are free. Carry-outs will also be available.

Please join us and help FILL THE BUS. You will meet some of the Lutheran Church Charities COMFORT DOGS. In addition, there will be a performance by the Grande Prairie Choral Arts Group, and a Puppet Show put on by CELEBRATION MINISTRIES of Park Forest.
